Identify the lentil type before requesting price
A buyer seeking lentils must specify red, green, brown or another intended variety, plus whether the goods are whole, split, cleaned or graded. These attributes can change both processing suitability and market value. A broad request for Russian lentils may produce misleading offers, especially if the importer expects a specific size calibration or splitting yield.
State cleaning and grading requirements
Include the target size range, contamination limits, moisture, appearance, admixture tolerances and requested inspections. Discuss laboratory methods and contractual treatment of nonconforming lots before shipment. Some retail packers and processors also care about the rate of broken grains, colour consistency and packing material; these should be explicit rather than assumed.
Select shipment and commercial terms
A commercial RFQ needs net tonnage, destination, desired dispatch period, packing and agreed payment method. The buyer should also identify who will arrange customs clearance and product registration if required. Incoterms allocate delivery responsibilities but do not replace written quality, banking and compliance clauses.
Use one introduction for a complete specification
Submit your variety and grade requirements with the RFQ. We review inquiries for relevance and may introduce suitable exporters. Product availability and exact origin depend on confirmation; the site does not present any lot as in stock without direct evidence.
